To increase the biodegradation process of the pollutants?

In sufficient quantity, these additives allow for faster and more effective biodegradation of organic matter in the pre-tank. But this tank’s role is first and foremost as a decanter, not a bioreactor.

Adding additives to pre-tanks can lead to a degradation of pollutants that should normally remain in the tank and be eliminated when it is emptied. This organically overloaded water has then a higher risk of clogging the system sand.
